Getting started
Create a parent skill for the hobby, then add the areas you want to track as subskills. A goal is optional, but it enables plans and forecasts.

Start with the quick answers below. If something still isn’t working, send an email with your device model, operating-system version, and a short description of what happened.

Email support directly. Screenshots are welcome, but avoid including anything you consider private.
Logging time
Use the stopwatch for open-ended sessions, a timer for a fixed block, or Log time to add a completed session manually. Choose the parent skill and subskill before saving.
Goals and forecasts
Edit a skill to choose a target rank and target date. Forecasts compare your current pace or weekly plan with that target. More active days produce a more useful current-pace estimate.
Plans and reminders
Open a skill’s Details, choose Forecast, then Your Plan. Set daily minutes and active days there. Reminder delivery also depends on your device’s notification permissions and battery settings.
Backups and restore
Go to Settings → Data → Backup & restore. Exporting creates a file you control. Keep it somewhere safe; restoring a backup replaces the app data currently on that device.
Skillmark Plus
On Android, Plus is an optional one-time purchase. If a previous purchase is not recognized, open Settings and use Restore purchase while signed into the Google Play account that made it.
Changing phones
Export a backup from the old device, move that file using a method you trust, then restore it on the new device. Skillmark does not automatically sync hobby data through an account.
Deleting your data
Delete individual skills or entries in the app, or use Settings → Data → Reset all data. Uninstalling or clearing app storage also removes local data unless you have kept an exported backup.
A reminder didn’t arrive
Confirm reminders are enabled in Skillmark and notifications are allowed in system settings. On Android, also review the reliability guidance shown in the app for battery and exact-alarm settings.
Privacy questions
Skillmark does not require an account and stores hobby activity locally. Advertising and purchases involve their applicable platform services. Read the full Privacy Policy.
